Local 148 represents over 3,000 union workers employed in electric power generation & distribution, healthcare and local and state government in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. Founded in 1941, we provide representation services aimed at ensuring all of our members a safe work place, fair wages and benefits, and job security, guaranteed by negotiated labor contracts.

This January we will begin accepting submissions for the annual

 Ted Anthoff Scholarship!

Union members who have seniors in high school
are eligible to submit entries. Contest information
is distributed to union stewards in January and the
essay submission deadline is April 15th.

First place winners receive $1000 and
second place receives $500.
